Mafia 2(PC) Review

E-mail Print PDF

If you have ever played Mafia the first game, you will LOVE this one!

To start off,the games graphics are brilliant. No lies here. The developers really pushed up the bar,and I can say even GTA IV could have some troubles competing. This game is NOT a PC port, and runs great with even the highest settings. For people looking for an eye candy, this is it.

Looking at the gameplay,it is very well done.I was not a big fan or a big player of Mafia I,but I just feel that some of the old games features are "moved" onto the new one.Not a bad thing at all.The shooting, cover system, and all the little things you can do,even opening a window, are just amazing.Don't even get me started on the driving,as it really feels like I am driving an old school 40's cars, with heavy steering, but high speeds.

The story in Mafia 2 is about a guy named Vito Scaletta. As you might know,he is italian descent and was one of the italians who immigrated to America. The story gets bumpy when after you failed to rob a store, you get drafter in the army,or you go to jail.Vito chose the army and served the US army and helped invade Italy. When he gets back home,he learns that his family needs money fast,to pay off debts. You talk with your old criminal buddy, and you start to become a mobster.

I would say this game is really nice.No joke.A MUST if you like third person-shoulder shooters,or even if you just like mafia stories, mobsters and pinup girls.

FINAL VERDICT:MUST BUY!
